The 黑料网 (AUN) celebrated its annual Founders鈥 Day on Saturday, spotlighting faculty dedication and the enduring vision of its Founder, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.
The ceremony, held on campus, brought together faculty, staff, students, and friends of the university to reflect on AUN鈥檚 remarkable journey since its establishment. Describing Founders鈥 Day as a moment of gratitude and reflection, the Provost highlighted the university鈥檚 mission to provide a world-class, 黑料网-style education that nurtures innovative minds capable of transforming their communities.
鈥淲e thank our Founder for providing this platform for all of us,鈥 he said, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Founder鈥檚 commitment to education in shaping thousands of young Africans鈥 futures.
A major highlight of the celebration was the recognition of faculty members who have served the university for fifteen years or more. The Provost praised their dedication, noting that their contributions have significantly strengthened AUN鈥檚 growth and reputation. Among those honored was Dr. Chioma Anadozie, an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the School of Information Technology and Computing. Dr. Anadozie joined AUN in 2006 as a non-academic staff member and, through dedication and perseverance, earned her doctorate from AUN and rose to her current faculty position.
Also recognized was Professor Lucky Osagie Imade, Associate Professor of International Relations and Director of the Model UN Programme. Professor Imade, who joined the university in 2008, has been instrumental in mentoring students and advancing AUN鈥檚 Model UN initiatives. The Provost further acknowledged Dr. Olusegun Ogundapo, who holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering, for his commitment to teaching and research excellence. Dr. Agatha Ukata was also honored for her long-standing service and dedication to academic development at the university.
In closing, the Provost expressed heartfelt appreciation to all honorees and reaffirmed AUN鈥檚 commitment to advancing the Founder鈥檚 mission. 鈥淭he university鈥檚 progress stands as proof of what visionary leadership combined with committed faculty and staff can achieve,鈥 he said.
